In terms of the actual chocolate sale, it works virtually the same as our original "Flagship" program, with one noted exception. The money that CrunchTime would direct towards conservation efforts is rerouted to your bottom line, so your profit margin starts at 55%! Even though this program doesn't offer the education and conservation component the Flagship program does, there are still tangible benefits to the tropical rainforests. Because the Newman's Own Organics chocolate is grown organically in a sustainable fashion, there are many benefits to both the tropical rainforests and the indigenous tribes who inhabit them. If you're looking for a quick and easy, "feel-good" activity that will leave a lasting legacy for your participants, may we suggest our “Sell-a-Case/Save-an-Acre” program. As the name implies, CrunchTime will “adopt” one acre of tropical rainforest for each case of chocolate that you sell. Since this is strictly a conservation effort, virtually all of the proceeds from the sale of the chocolate, go to pay for pay for the chocolate, shipping costs, and the donation to “adopt” the rainforest acreage. What’s left for your group is $20 in “Pizza Party” money to help celebrate your accomplishment.
